Art i Sa Barcelona was born in 2009 from the hand of two sisters, Marisol and Sofía. We, lovers of good cuisine, hard-core travelers and Barcelona lovers, for those twists and turns of life, we felt the need to offer the public that every day walks the Rambla and Plaza Real a place where they can stop, take a short break and enjoy a delicious snack. The place where we would like to go if we were visiting the Gothic Quarter.

With much effort and love, since our opening and together with our priceless team, we made of Art i Sa a welcoming space where our clients and friends feel at home while tasting everything we make with the best ingredients and love.

We take care of each product we offer, looking at its quality, prioritizing proximity suppliers, 100% organic and bio coffee, fresh milk and organic eggs, artisan cakes and ice creams made in our workshop with the best raw materials.

In our purpose of improving every day, in 2019 we became part of the Barcelona Biosphere project that certifies us as a sustainable location for meeting sustainability and continuous improvement requirements.

Also the fact of being a local, women-owned family business and with a unique offer, all together with our Gastronomic Souvenirs product brand, ARTiSA is part of “Barcelona Unique Shops” guide.

Being environmentally friendly has undoubtedly been one of Artisa’s core beliefs from the start when we first opened in 2009. We are conscious of the change society must undergo towards a more environmentally lead consumer policy. Including ecological and regional products in the range of products we offer has been at the forefront of our efforts to help reduce our carbon footprint in this world and create a fairer society respecting our producers and workers rights and needs. Following this philosophy, we continue to grow and improve our well curated range of ecological and regional products with social values.

In 2019 we were proudly granted with the «Biosphere» certificate through the fulfillment of a series of requirements in the sector to design products and services with a new model of non-aggressive tourism, satisfying the current needs of customers and users, without compromising future generations. This certification guarantees an adequate long-term balance between the economic, socio-cultural and environmental dimensions of a destination based on the principles of sustainability and continuous improvement sponsored by UNESCO and UNWTO.

With every purchase at Artisa you are in fact contributing towards a more just and sustainable society and environment.

We look forward to your visit and we hope you like it 🙂
